week 46: Grapes. para todos

Hey yall,

Sorry this week's email is gonna be short 😢 I've been spending all day cleaning 🙃 preparing for the new sisters to move into our apartment. I want the sisters to feel very welcome in moving in to this beautiful apartment on the west side!!!

I was able to go on exchanges with my mission bestie sister starr 💓💓 we just had a blast and we're able to laugh 😃 

We went to the hospital 🏥 this week to go visit our friend Ana. She is okay everything is going better now but we are going to invite her to get baptized on Wednesday so we are super excited!!! 

We meet some awesome new people 😎  one of our new friends is from Columbia and she just had a baby so we were able to meet her 20 day old baby 👶 ❤️ he's so cute!!! We are excited to be able to see them at churvh and continue to progress. 

Grapes!!! 🍇 This week the food banks I el paso were giving out boxes and boxes of grapes. So for some reason our friends were giving all of us so many bags of grapes!!! I have been eating the most amount of grapes I have in my life lol.

week 45: Carolina Reaper

Hey yall, 

This week my compaion and I saw so may miracles ✨️ We always see so many miracles but this week was crazy!!!

We had a lesson with our friend Ana and her 2 daughters, esmeralda (13) and ruby (11), we taught a little bit about the restoration of the church ⛪️ ♥️ Ana is one of our friends who wants to get baptized so badly but the only thing that is holding her back is she wants her family to be baptized with her. We finally were able to teach the daughters because it is summer break and the girls are out of summer school. They loved meeting with us and they promised us to come to church!!! When sunday rolled around there they were with their mom at church. They were also able to attend the second hour (youth classes) and made friends and promised my companion and I they would be back next week!!! 

So yes, I did eat a Carolina Reaper 🌶and I did not feel good.... would not recommend for anyone who thinks they are strong enough to do it just know you are not that strong and there is a reason people don't usually eat them. 

We have just had such a good week!!! I love being a missionary and wouldn't trade it for the world ❤️❤️

week 44. 100 degrees in El Paso

Howdy y'all!

This week has been absolutely crazy lol. 🤪 

First off HAPPY 7/11!!! My companion and I got wayyy too many free slushy's 🥤🇺🇲 but it was okay because it was 110° definitely an awesome way to cool down and to continue working. 

We were able to have zone conference this week and President Edwards kinda did a recap of what every zone conference has been like since he has been mission president. I thought it was so cool because I was here for every single zone conference except for two. I love being able to learn and grow so much. I know I am starting to grow into the person who I want to become and that is all thanks to everything I have learned on my mission and to everyone who helped me get here. I am so excited to be able to see myself grow some more in the next 8 months 🙌 🤗 

I GOT TO SEE SISTER STARR 🌟!!!! I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!!! I haven't seen her since we came into together 9 months ago so that was super cool!!!  

Our friends are doing so well and our friend Ana never misses a Sunday! After every Sunday meeting she will tell us how much she loves coming and how many answers she receives!!! I know that going to church ⛪️ is so important in our lives and that it helps us so much in everything we do ❤️

week 43: 4 de Julio

Hey Y'all,

This fourth of July was a little different this year. Since it's my favorite holiday I made sure to make the best out of it so I painted my nails with stars and I made sure to wear my red, white and blue ❤️🤍💙 to celebrate our independence! My compaion and I were able to go to a parade and we watched fireworks 🎆 from our balcony!!!

This week teaching was so much fun!!! My companion and I taught like crazy 🤪 we just taught every opportunity we got and we saw so many miracles from it. I love being a missionary and being able to teach people about the restored gospel which we have on the Earth 🌎 

This week in personal study (we have an hour to study every morning as missionaries) I studies a lot about the Atonement (the sacrifice, death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ) of Jesus Christ. I love how our savior knows us all so very personally. I invite all of yall to read 📚 as well!!!
