A little laugh

This is all because I went over to my amazingly organized friends house and saw her closet!!! Everything in her house is in order... Even her junk drawers! it's a gift that I wish I had and envy.

After moving to NC I decided to somewhat organize my clothes in the closet. What I didn't realize is that kaylea caught on to this also... Then a few months later it was Claudia who had her clothes colored coded!

Last Sunday after church Scott decided to organize his clothes too!!!! I was seriously laughing so hard thinking about how all this got started!

So thanks Stephanie... You came into put home and organized! Miss ya tons!

(Did ya notice everyone has the same color of hangers? Yes, only so the kids can find their clothes from the laundry room and put them up in their closets.).

It took 14 1/2 years!

While registering for my 20 piece place setting of china, I couldn't wait to get a buffet to place my beautiful pieces in.

I have looked tons over the years and always had an idea of what I wanted but everything seemed to be too small. I was Looking for something just like my grandmothers. Color, knobs, drawers, and cabinets... everything i loved about it. 14 years later I Finally I found exactly what I wanted! I love the simplicity of the workmanship, the color, height, length, and depth. Everything was perfect!

It came yesterday and I was overjoyed with excitement.... Finally I could take my china out of the boxes where they have been stored, traveled across the country and back... Now my fine china AND christmas dishes have a home!!! (Along with grandmother Waits fine china too.)

I laughed at my kids as they ooooed and ahhhhhed over the dishes!!! They are dying to eat off them, touch, and hold them... I have to say, I think they will live in there for several more years before the kids kids destroy them. We will be down to a 6 piece place setting if we use them.

Yes, I do wonder why I even have them, but I guess it's just the southern girl in me. It's just tradition!

So love this girl

One of my additions are children's literature. I can't just check out books from the library... I HaVE to buy them for myself. My collection started in college while taking my education classes.

Over the years my collection has grown, grown some more, and still continues.., even against my husbands wishes! I have thousands of children's books.

I even have them stored in boxes and labeled into themes. Every holiday I display the books for my kids to read.

Claudia came home from school and chose a book from the Caladott basket... Blueberries for Sal, a classic.

While loading up for samuels soccer practice she asked about bringing the tin pail with her. I didn't get it until I saw her doing this...

My heart melted!!! I love it when kids make connections with everyday life:)
