Hanging out with the Maughan's

It was wonderful to be able to spend a week with the Maughans. It has been too long, (4 1/2 months to be exact) since we last saw them on the day that they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah.

It's just not the same here... we miss them so much! After spending about everyday with them for 5 years it's hard to be without them.

Emily continued to crack us up with all of her funny maneuvers. Notice the way she wears her dress... arms out of her selves.
We spent one afternoon playing at Boomdocks. The favorite was riding the go carts around and around and around in circles.
Face painting was a highlight during a trip to Burger King for supper!
Shannon and Daniel found a table for two at our favorite pizza place.
We were able to spend one afternoon at temple square.

Best Friends Forever!
While other kids in Salt Lake are going to school... we are out playing at Jungle Jims indoor playland. The only other kids there were from a preschool. The kids were able to ride the rides over and over and over again.
Gardner Village... Hangin' with the witches!

Amanda and I were able to escape for the day of shopping, eating, talking, and of course pampering. Amazing!

It's so much fun just getting adult time!

O'Boy, I sure do love all these kids!

Thanks bunches to the Maughan's for a wonderful week filled with fun, games, playing, dinners, parks, and just hanging out talking. Miss y'all so much! Life just isn't the same without ya!

Fall Break with the Waits

The best way to spend your birthday is to travel for 10 1/2 hours with 4 kids to Salt Lake City to spend time with your brother and best friends. That is how Scott spent his birthday this year, BUT we made up for it the entire following week!

You never know what will happen with amazing babysitters while they are keeping your kids. While we were having lunch with Brooks and Ceri... the kids were at home having a blast. When Scott walked into the house, it was decorated with streamers, signs, and bows... all to say
Happy Birthday Scott!

You know Scott is having fun when there is a SMILE upon his face!

Even though it was a little chilly, the kids didn't mind. They made a horse stew from anything and everything that they could find laying around.

The neighbors kids have many an animal in their home. They brought out their turtle and snake to show Daniel. It took years for him not to be skirmish... especially when it comes to bugs and small creatures.

It's always fun to ride a scooter with your helmet on backwards.

"Who wants to go to Sam's Club?"

Field Trips are a blast for Family Home Evening. Hayride... Pick your own enormous pumpkin... Sing songs... AND eat pumpkin seeds on the ride home. What more could you ask for?

Of course, Jonathan can find any creepy crawly thing around. Even if it is on a moving load of hay filled with people.

Daniel's reaction to the scary cornfield monsters jumping out from ditches and haystacks.

Our farmer was a "snowbird" from Mesa. He spends his summers in Kaysville and has to stay for a few weeks extra into October to give hayrides.

The pumpkins that our kids picked out.
He picked out the pumpkin seeds for Daniel to eat on the way home.

Dog pile!

Clip on earrings... I love how girls improvise.

We all walked Camille to school. So exciting!
Thanks Brooks, Ceri, Camille, Jonathan, and Miel for an amazing trip! We miss y'all ready and can wait for our next visit!
