Because the kids completed their chores without arguing and complaining... Aunt Ceri "paid" the hard workers with an amazing delicious treat!  YUM!

campout with the scouts

Daniel was thrilled when his Uncle Books asked him if he wanted to go with the scouts on their annual 3 day overnight campout.  This was a 6 mile hike in and camped in the Wasatch Mountains by some beautiful lakes.  Daniel loved all the aspects of the campout...  the preparing, packing, the campout itself, and then coming home to tell us all about it.  He was grinning the entire time!  Thanks uncle Brooks for an amazing campout!

lake lagoon

Ceri found this "secret lake" were only a few go out and play...  It was a great place for the kids to go exploring through the creek bed, floating on a raft and swinging from a rope swing.  They found minnows, butterflies, and even a snake.  Four hours flew by without one complaint at all!  wonderful way to spend the day!

Happy Birthday Ceri

What do women ask for on their birthday?  Something they know that will be hard to ask for any other time throughout the year.

Happy Birthday Ceri!

All she wanted were pictures of her family and I was so excited to take them for her.  The kids gave their mom some amazing pictures and were treated to her birthday brownies afterwards!  I loved taking shots of this adorable family!  My kids were all too excited to get in on the action!

These were just a few out of a hundred shots.

Now, I know what I am going to ask for...

Hill Aerospace Museum

Making their very own rocket to launch into the sky was the highlight of the day!  Hill Aerospace Museum is the coolest place to hang out and learn tons about air travel throughout history... especially on a HOT day.  The best thing is it is FREE.  Inside the museum is a kids zone where even the little ones can get into learning about air travel.  I only wish that we had more time to spend there.  We had to leave only because they were closing!

Kayleas rocket continued to malfunction but after the 4th try... it flew so high that we all lost sight of it, until it landed right beside her.

Tons of things for my kids to get into without getting into trouble!

Until next year...
