Pizza Night

One Saturday evening the Weaver's invited us over for pizza night. It was... bring all the leftovers from the fridge to use as toppings for pizza. While the kids were waiting on the pizzas, they entertained themselves with made up games on the trampoline. It was nonstop laughter. Thanks Mike and Steph for delicious food, great entertainment, and wonderful friendship.

Swim Team

This year Daniel, Kaylea and Claudia were on the Phoenix Parks and Rec Swim Team. Every Thursday night Kaylea and Daniel would swim in the swim meet and compete in relays and individual races. We are so proud of their hard work that they have put into swimming. Here is Kaylea swimming the butterfly in the 6 and under age division.

Asleep at 2:00 in the afternoon.

This summer has been... lets just say... CrAzY BusY SwiMMinG everyday, if not twice a day! So every once in a while I will find Samuel asleep in random places, under tables, in chairs, on couch, and one of his favorite places is on the rug in front of the toilet... naked. I guess after going to the bathroom, he is just too tired to put on his clothes, so he just lays down and... gone... out.... not getting up!
Well, after a few late nights, the tiredness just caught up with the kids and Claudia feel asleep under her bed, Kaylea layed down to read a book, and well, Samuel just decided that time out would be better spent taking a nap. And That My Friends is just what they did. Daniel and I went around laughing and taking lots of pictures.
These are the moments that I just love being a MoM!

When Scotts AwAy...

One weekend while Scott was playing in a softball tournament with his work buddies in Central Park, I was home with the kids trying to keep everyone entertained. We started the day by going to Home Depot and making a Fathers Day Tool Kit Box. I love to watch the kids concentrate when they are intently working on some kind of project. Daniels tongue usually sneaks its way out on one side of his mouth, while Claudia's eyebrows squeeze together tight. I am always curious what is going through their minds when they are deep in thought. Do any of us ever realize that we do strange things with our facial expressions while we are working on a task that requires us to focus for a period of time? Scott tells me that he sometimes catches his tongue sticking out of his mouth while operating... but he is very grateful for the mask that covers the evidence.
After Home Depot it was off to the gym for mommy time.
Then we decided to head over to Lakeshore Leaning for their craft for the day. Samuel seemed to enjoy the fishing pond and crawling through the caterpillar while the others made puppets out of various materials.
On the way back home we stopped at Redbox and rented the movie Hotel For Dogs which the kids loved watching while eating popcorn.
It turned out to be one of our most favorite days.

Happy Teeth...

Another trip to the dentist and everything looks great... except... one little cavity that has found its way into Daniels back molar. YuK! Dr. Paul reminded Claudia, again, that her thumb needed to sleep by itself beside her on the pillow. Yep, She will most likely have braces because of her thumb. Next time Samuel will join the pack!
