Week 67: 2/3 There PT 2

As summer turns to an end and school starts again I feel like time is flying by. I have been having a great time and just loving it in Hagerstown. This week Pedro, who is about 80 and was baptised about 2 months ago, was asked to give a talk in church. it was the most presioous thing. We went over to his house and were able to help him write it. it was about how the Lord has blessed the world in some parts with Religious Liberty. How we need to follow the 2 great commandments like Jesus said in Matthew and really love God by also loving our neighbor. He was able to write down a few ideas and share his expereinces with Jesus to everyone. All the people at church were just smiling and loving this pure testimony and expereince get shared to the congregation. he ended his 5 minute talk and sat down with the biggest smile on his face. 

It made me think of how lucky we are to believe what we want and have the choice to follow God. He didnt just make us all follow him, he helped us grow and CHOOSE to do good. THerefore, the whol world can be blessed. 

I had the opprotunity to testify from my expereinces about the reality of my savior to a bunch of different people this week. Many of them want those same experiences. I know that Jesus Christ wants to have a personal expereince with each one of us. That is why he restored His priesthood power and his true doctine on the earth, as was proficied in Acts. Once again, he reached out his loving arm and called a prophet to lead and guide us back to him.

Week 66. Its 2/3 there

This week flew by. it was pretty average which is really good because the Lord is blessing us with a ton of sucess! We had 2 exchanges back to back wher I got to learn from two great missionaries Elder Cutchen and Trane. We had a blast and had a few miracles too. We found a guy who was literally praying and taking a walk to be lead to the truth of God and then we pulled our car over and started talking with him! He knows we were guided to him that day. We also were able to find a member who had moved here from his country a few months ago. THey did not know where the church was but now they do! 

THe top of the entire week was defianly the amazing expereince of being able to witness a temple dedication. As you know, the open house for the Washington DC Temple was open to the public a few months ago and then they finished and yesterday was the dedication. Just like in 1 Kings 8 and 2 Chronicals 6, the temple was dedicated to the lord. It was ana amazing expereince where the spirit of the lord testified of the truth of the power of God on the earth today. God works through his chosen prophets as he has done since the world began. It was a great expereince and now its a temple where families can be sealed and be together forever!! Feel freee to ask me questions.

Week 65

Week 64: Winchester

Well we had an amazing week! We have been doing nothing but teaching the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. We have seen a few changes in the people we teachign. Their desire to follow the commandments of GOd has increased and they have grown a better spirit in their families. Its great to be able to walk in a room and be able to feel the sweet presence of the spirit of God and then have it confirmed by the people we teaching saying ho great it was to pray as a family every night! 

Monday through thursday was in Winchester. i was able to do a few exchanges with the missionaries there and also see a few of the families and people I had taught about 6 motnhs ago. It was so great adn God is blessing the missionaries down there with a ton of sucess. 

Back in hagerstown has been amaing too. i had the busiest day of my mission where we taught lessons to people from 9am to 9 pm. WE were absolutly exausted but falling into bed was so great as we knew we had worked hard. The Lord was pleased.  

One thing I have see this week is the importance of having Christ as your audience. If we only focus of Christ, all the service and acts that go by unnoticed are all worth it. He went through everything to help us so we could do the littlest for others. It has heloed me and brought be so much peace this week. Read the scriptures specifically the new testimant and the book of mormn and see how prophets and Jesus Himself only worked with God or Jesus as their audience.

Week 63: Hag City

So sorry for the confusión but it's actually Hag City (I think haha). But life has been amazing and we are just having a blast. We have been teaching so many lessons and really seeing people learn more and come closer to Jesus. It's been great to see the added light in their lives and that they have grown closer as a family. 

I also got to go on an exchange wirh Elder Bawden from my first days in baltimore and it was a blast!
