Thank you Katie for sending this picture to me, well, actually Samuel... (she said that she would keep us updated on the progress of the building beside our apartment in Sydney.) Samuel's workers he called them. The workers that he watched everyday out the window of my bedroom. Well, a year later, they are still working on this apartment building! This is an example of the driving work force in Australia... hee hee. Seriously, They move slowly on everything!

Can't wait to see the building 6 months from now.

(btw, when I showed this picture to Samuel, he immediately knew what it was. he yelled, "my workers.")

Today is Valentines Day... our Valentines will receive their card a day late... but it's the thought that counts, Right!

Maia came over to help the kids make Valentines Day treats for their teachers at school. She never knows what surprise awaits her coming over to our house!

Pemberton Trail 50K

A fast 50k run completely on trails in the beautiful McDowell Mountain Regional Park, Fountain Hills, Arizona.

This is the way that the trail is described on the website that is advertising the race. I totally agree that it is beautiful but fast? Who says that running for 5 hours is fast? The trail is 15 miles which the runners have to loop around twice.

This was the first year that the race started 5pm. With an almost full moon, lots of runners didn't need a headlight to help them stay on the course. The kids enjoyed playing outdoors building forts, sitting by the fire, and cheering for Scott.

Another great race! Way to go Scott~

Remember this game? Remember the movie? 1985? One of my favorites. These boys were having a blast making guesses of who killed with what weapon in which room... it was totally entertaining!

skiing with the kids...

This morning we slept in and decided to ski only for a half day. We woke up to snow falling and the kids couldn't wait to go out sledding down some of the hills right outside our cabin. I started laughing when both Daniel and Samuel came back inside with some road rash on their face. Sleds don't really work well when it hits the grass, the sudden stop and flip over the top got both of them... but not enough to keep them from, skiing.

So we headed to the slops for Great skiing with bright blue skies! Can't beat it.
