Week 54: Day of 5 Exchanges

Buenas Tardes a Todos. We had some news about where the missionaries are moving to and I found out I will be staying in baltimore!! That makes 9 months in total and counting. Elder Pritchett is going to Pennsylvania and I will be getting 2 new companions so a house of 3! I'm really excited to stay with these people who I have grown to love but could maybe wait a few more weeks till it gets suuuper hot. 

This week was amazing! We had such a blast. We also got in contact and had some fire lessons with a TON of members. I had a great exchange with Elder Stacey where we had a couple lessons and got to take the Metro AND Lightrail. Then got back super late. The next morning I was going to go back to swith back with Elder Pritchett but he was sick so Long story short I got to do exchanges with all the Elder in the district. It was a hectic day. But also amazing. I'm so blessed to work around such great missionaries and people who want to get better all the time. 

Some other Highlights of this week were

- getting soo much food after a lesson that it took a backpack and two elders to carry it home

- we fixed ALL the member addresses

- we got to eat with Elder Pritchetts Uncle who actually lives like 10 minutes from us. The same one we meet at the temple for the first time in forever. 

There's still 2 weeks in the temple open house. All our friends who has visited have said that ita amazing! All who possible can should go to dctemple.org and just check it out for a few minutes. Tell me what you think.

Week 53: The Temple

This was such a great week let me tell you. We had like so many great things happen. One thing for sure is that summer is in full swing and I can for sure tell. It has been super hot and our ac broke haha so we are gonna figure out how to survive on fans. I slept my first night ( probably ever) just lying there but a new water bottle I bring around that keeps the ice has been helping sooo much. 

First of all we got to go to the temple! There was the Washington DC Temple open house (if I haven't said it enough) and soo many people from all different religions and background came when we were there. It was cool to see inside and how everything is centered around families and God's plan and Jesus. It was also very pretty too. My companion happened to walk into his uncle who had came to tour it at the same time who decided to come back to church for the first time in 30 years. God's timing is magnificent. 

We also found another few members! We had records fo a member of the church living at this particular door but the past missionaries had passed by and the people said they didn't know the Members and they didn't live there anymore. We knocked it anyway and a beautiful family answers and then came to church the next day! What a miracle. They are thee sweetest. 

It also rained! I love the rain and thunderstorms but not so much when I am far from home and I forgot my rain jacket. But I am excited for summer because it means that not more pollon. Literally the worst day is 95 degrees and very high pollon BUT we continue because we love God and want to serve Him and his children. 

I know this I the work of the Lord because He wants all of us to come back and live with him in heaven. He wants us to be happy and grow together and knows that the only way is through Jesus and his Gospel. We cannot find true happiness any other way. If you want to learn a bit more, email me back!
