yard working...

Our neighbor gave us some impatiens flowers that we just had to plant in the front yard.  Even though we will be moving in a month... the kids were excited to get down and dirty.  When digging in the yard around our house the kids find tons of slugs, snails, and other creepy crawly things.  AND today was just another day.

Claudia pulled out the dump truck to carry the water in.  Watching her "pretend play" was cracking me up. She is almost 8 years old but still loves to talk to barbies, make truck noises when playing cars with Samuel, and playing school with her girls.

A totally beautiful day in Memphis!

Cuddle Bugs!

This is what I get to cuddle with every other night!  Such sweet boys.  I can't get enough!

girly girls...

The girls loved having Ms. Taylor come over and give manicures.  Just picking out the colors was a tough choice... and then having to decide what design to have her paint.  Oooo, all the choices!

Ms. Taylor, Kaylea, Allie, Mary Hannah, Katie, Emma, Claudia, Tori, Hannah, and Emlyn.

Claudia and her best friend Emma.  They are going to miss each other so much!

A Talented Elder

Elder Brotherson entertained us with a piece that he had memorized playing mostly the black keys while also using his arms... playing the keys all at once!  It was wonderfully magnificent!

how do you respond?

I walked past Daniel's room and this is what I saw this morning before church.  After questioning him as to what he was doing... he replied, "Mom, when I buttoned my shirt, it was so wrinkled that there were hole in-between the buttons.  So, I needed to iron it and make it smooth."

What you don't know is that... I DON'T iron!  I mean, maybe, twice a year... if that even.

But when my college roommate, D, came to visit us, Daniel noticed that she ironed everything.  Her 5 year old son, has to have all his clothes ironed or he will not wear them.  She is the same way... even in college, she wouldn't let me wear something that wasn't ironed!  I just love her for that!

After texting her AND her husband this picture, explaining that she taught him everything he knows about ironing, her response was... "I am proud of him!  So funny"

Her husbands then responds... "Reg, the only reason that D talked to me that night in Red Dogs was because my clothes were pressed."

Samuel's last game

Samuel loved his soccer season.  He was on the white team until today... the blue team was short two kids.  So Samuel volunteered to change his shirt to a blue and played his little heart out.  Hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

Sitting on the sidelines... were the other kids keeping themselves busy with other things.
